Ratings for 12/5/07

Match Overview : A good game which we showed character to come back from 2 goals down to draw level. However, the match exposed 2 maor defensive flaws which require urgent attention.

1. Quality Midfield Centre who has the discipline like Guang to protect the back 4.

2. Another Centre-Back to provide back up to Captain and Mark should any 1 of them get injured.

Some of our players were rusty and some were were just lacking match practice. Other than that, some showed sparks of the talent they had. We need to step up a gear if we want to win our matches.

Some weakness to note if we are to improve.

1. Centre Defence needs 1 more personnel.
2. Wings need to deliever more.
3. Centre mid should pressure more, unlike yesterday where Captain and Mark were quite vulnerable at times.

Ratings

1.Firdaus (6.5/10) - Had a bittersweet day where he made 1 superb save but conceded 2 goals due to defensive mix-ups

2.Varun (5.5/10) - Rusty and sometimes indecisive, 1 afternoon to forget as soon as possibe.

3. Mark (7.5/10) - Had 1 of his better games after returning from injury, but still misjudged on a few occasions.

4. Adrian (6.5/10) - Remains the voice behind the team and had a decent outing for the team.

5. OP (6/10) - Hardworking but unable to produce his goods due to lack of service.

7. Apit (7/10) - Showed composure and inteligence and should have scored.

8. Guo (6.5/10) - Showed what he could do but was unfortunately shut out of the target sight.

9. Nigel (6/10) - Had an average game and lost the ball several times due to dribling.

10. Samuel (6.5/10) - Showed power and leadership up front. Sadly the goal he was searching for was not to be found.

11. Muhsin (6.5/10) - Hardworking and fast but the goal also eluded him, similar to Sam's case.

12. Shank (6.5/10) - Had a decent day out. Beginning to adapt to the MC role.

13. Yazid (8/10) - Supersub who rescued the club with 2 goals.

14. Tom (5.5/10) - Not enough time to show what he could do.

15. Shawn (5.5/10) - Ran more than kicking the ball.

16.Sunder (5.5/10) - Received the yellow card and was more running than kicking ball.

17. Big Bryan (6/10) - Showed rustiness but decoyed for the first goal.

There might be another match next week so gear up cause I heard the other team claims to be better than us.
